"...born April 30, 1894. He was a perfect boy, a real boy in every fibre of his being. He enjoyed all sports that are natural to boys and lived a healthy joyous boyhood. To know him was to be interested in him and to love him. His class at school, his Sunday school class, his playmates, the Junior League, his teachers, and every other man on the street will miss him. Even the dumb animals, whom he petted, will know that the world is not the same since he is gone." Lowell (IN) Public Library, History Pages
