Raymond Pond was the son of Fred S. Pond, cashier of the Deering Reaper Works, and Evelyn Tuttle Pond. His mother and sister also died in the fire, along with his aunt Grace Tuttle.  The four bodies were taken to Beloit, Wis., for burial. Chicago Tribune
