"George C Guthrie, of this sity [Jacksonvill IL] is one of the persons who mourn the loss of friends in the Iroquois theatre fire. His cousin Mrs Fanny Merriman of Chicago attended the performance with another cousin Miss Hattie Guthrie, two nieces and two children of the latter, six in all.Mr. Guthrie has received the sad intelligence that all the party, excepting his cousin Hattie, are dead."
