Ella and her sister Edyth, were trapped and burned to death in the terrible fire, along with their brother, George, at the Iroquois Theater in Chicago. The funeral services over the remains of Ella and Edyth, daughters of William J. Freckleton, 5632 Peoria Street, were conducted by Rev. R. Keene Ryan at Boulevard Hall, Fifty-fifth and Halstead Streets. More than 2,000 people were in the hall for their funeral service and five hundred others lined the street for hours waiting for the funeral cortege to pass on its way.
