Daughter of Abraham and Josephine (Kyle) Bowman. Beatrice was killed along with her mother and her brother Lucien in the Iroquois Theater Fire.

In the Chicago, Illinois City Directory of 1890, Beatrice is listed as a student o the Bryant & Stratton Chicago Business College on Washington St near Wabash avenue.  In subsequent directories and census, she is listed as a stenographer.
