Marian Eger Reiss (b.1868) had married a fellow Hungarian immigrant, Armin Reiss (1865-1942) in 1891.†   Their first child, Ernest H. Reiss, was born in 1892 and his sister Erna S. Reiss the following year. Like his father-in-law, Arnim was a cigar maker. He had immigrated to America in 1884.
